Xiaomi confirmed the Indian HyperOS update release yesterday on Twitter, and a few hours later, the update is now rolling out. The update is currently rolling out for Mi Pilots for preview, after which the public rollout will commence.
Xiaomi announced plans for the Indian HyperOS release in India yesterday, with Xiaomi 13 Pro expected to lead the charge. The device is currently getting the update alongside the POCO F5. Both releases are exclusive to Beta testers, who will preview the ROM for bugs, and if everything goes as planned, public rollout will commence in two weeks.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro Android 14-based HyperOS update in India is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.1.0.UMBINXM, and weighs about 5GB. Aside from introducing all the expected features, the update delivers Android 14 and December 2023 security patch to increase system security and stability.
POCO F5 users in India are receiving a stable OS1.0.5.0.UMRINXM. The update weighs 4.9GB and brings all the expected changes. These include a revamped control center, new home screen icons, a redesigned weather app, new system fonts, and more. Also, the update delivers a stable Android 14 and bumps the Android security patch level to December 2023.
Meanwhile, the update is rolling out to limited users till the preview is completed. While waiting for the update, ensure your bootloader is locked, as unlocked bootloaders will not get the update. Trying to install the Recovery ROM might result in an error unless you have a Mi Pilots account.
