Ever since it was tipped that the Xiaomi 13 series will be debuting soon, rumours and leaks have been surfacing. Well, we’ve been hearing of the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro but never the Xiaomi 13 Ultra- it’s part of the Xiaomi 13 series and it will be debuting soon after the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro(probably).
Our popular tipster, Digital chat station, has shared the camera details of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be taking a four-camera setup at the rear. Among the four camera sensors will be the primary Sony IMX989 from the Xiaomi 12S Ultra – an additional feature will be the gimbal stabilization.
Meanwhile, as regards the other three camera sensors, we’re still in a grey area as to what to expect, however, it seems the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will retain the camera sensors from the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Meanwhile, all four sensors will be getting PDAF autofocus and direct time of flight.
Apart from the Xiaomi 13 Ultra
As mentioned earlier, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be coming in soon after the release of the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. Xiaomi 13 measures 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm, although the camera bump takes the thickness up to 10.3mm. According to reports, the Xiaomi 13 is said to house the sleek Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 making it one of the first sets of smartphones to take up this chip.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro measures 163 x 74.6 x 8.8 mm and the camera bump takes the thickness up by 3 mm. This measurement makes the new smartphone shorter than its predecessor, although thicker (by 0.6mm) and with the same width.
Unlike the Xiaomi 13, the Xiaomi 13 Pro takes up a curved display and the centre camera cutout is seen at the top amidst the ever-sleek display. Back to the camera, Xiaomi noticeably decided to go with a similar rear camera setup to the Mi 11 Ultra in this series. Just like the regular Xiaomi 13, the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be housing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and the duo is IP68 rated.
We might get to see a new smartwatch, buds, router and even a desktop computer alongside the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. Meanwhile, we’ve obtained details on the Geekbench performance of the Xiaomi 13 series as well – and it’s quite impressive as expected.
