Xiaomi debuted its latest flagship phone late last year and has remained in China. The Chinese company has now confirmed the international release of the Xiaomi 14 series phone later this month.
Xiaomi 14 global debut has been scheduled for February 25, 2024. The event will take place in Barcelona ahead of the MWC, which will start on February 26. We expect to see only two devices released globally.
According to the official teaser page, we will see the Xiaomi 14 Ultra alongside the Xiaomi 14. Unfortunately, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will not arrive on the global market as the previous report suggests it’s China exclusive.
Of course, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be the star of the launch event. The device, co-engineered with Leica, will feature a new generation of Leica Optics. It is touted as the wide variable aperture on the device’s primary camera. There will be a Quad camera arrangement, all 50 MP sensors, with a Sony LYT-900 as the primary sensor. It will feature a faster f/1.6-f/4.0 variable aperture.
The device will run Android 14 on top of HyperOS 1.0 outside of-the box. There’s no news about the pricing and whether Xiaomi will extend its Android update support like Google and Samsung. We expect to learn more about that during the Xiaomi 14 global debut on February 25, 2024.
Meanwhile, the launch event will also see the release of Xiaomi Pad 7. The Tablet is tipped to feature a 10000mAh battery and support 120W charging. We hope to learn more about the unit in the coming days.
