Xiaomi 14 Ultra is the latest phone to start receiving the HyperOS 2.1 update. It’s based on Android 15 but comes with new features. The build resolved issues and improved performance. However, it will take a few days/weeks before arriving on all eligible phones, but you can install the Recovery ROM manually.

Before the stable Android 16, which will probably be based on HyperOS 3, is ready, Xiaomi wants you to upgrade to HyperOS 2.1. The latest release brings some new features, more interestingly, an improved animation when opening and closing apps. Other additions are mentioned in the changelog below.

Xiaomi is rolling out the update with version number OS2.0.102.0. VNAMIXM for Global users. It’s available in India as OS2.0.102.0. VNAMIXM. Both builds have the same changelog, and we understand they are limited releases. It means only a few people are getting the update for preview, after which the public rollout will commence.
However, Xiaomi has uploaded the Recovery ROM to the server to make manual installation possible. If you want to follow this process and install the update, ensure you back your data. Also, you are running the latest HyperOS build before the current release.
How to download the Xiaomi 14 Ultra HyperOS 2.1 update
Visit the updater app and scan for the update. There’s a chance it has gotten to your device, but if not, you can access the Recovery ROM here: Global | India. And should you encounter an error trying to install the update, it means you are not eligible just yet.
