Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro release date confirmed

Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro have been on the rumor mill for months. Only a few details of the phones are yet to be revealed, but we will get to know everything about the devices soon, as the company has officially confirmed the release date.

Xiaomi will announce the successor of the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro on September 26, 2024, exactly one year after the phones were announced. While the announcement didn’t reveal any details of the phones, we already know some of the specs, and thanks to recent leaks, the design of the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro have been revealed.

A video shared on TikTok revealed the design of the upcoming phones. Xiaomi might have settled for a particular design for its T-series device lineup. From the video, the phones will keep the design of their predecessors, albeit with a few tweaks.

Xiaomi 14T series will have a square camera island with rounded corners. There are three camera cutouts and one for the LED flash. Of course, the device adopts a glass finish at the back, but there seems to be a difference between the two phones.

It’s difficult to say which device is the Pro or the vanilla model from the video, but it seems the Xiaomi 14T Pro will have a flat back and frame, while the 14T has a curved glass back. However, it can easily go the other way, given there is no information from the source about which one is the Pro and non-Pro variant.

Luckily, we don’t have to wait long before Xiaomi officially announces these phones. As always, the company has co-designed the phone with Leica, meaning we should see improvement in the camera. Also, we will get to know which of the phones has a flat glass back – the Pro or the non-Pro.
