Xiaomi 14T series phones were expected to receive an Android 15-based HyperOS update first. Of course, that didn’t happen. Perhaps the company needed some time to resolve issues, but it doesn’t seem they fix them all. Users have taken to the Mi community to report frame drops when making videos.
Xiaomi is marketing the 14T for its camera prowess, having equipped the device with triple rear camera sensors. The device is able to shoot 4k@24/30/60fps videos, but with the Frame Drop issue being reported by multiple people, it will be hard for users to enjoy this feature.
Meanwhile, we understand only Indonesian ROM users are experiencing the problem. It is exclusive to those running the OS2.0.3.0. VENIDXM. We believe the update has only been released for a limited number of people, meaning only Mi Pilot members got the build.
While Xiaomi is still analyzing the problem to release a build that will address it, the rollout has been halted. Nevertheless, if you have an update waiting to be installed with the build number mentioned in the post, we recommend you ignore it.
When is the Xiaomi 14T Frame Drop issue getting fixed?
Unfortunately, Xiaomi didn’t provide a time frame when it plans to release a new update that will resolve the issue. We recommend checking the updater app, as a new update might be rolling out already. If not, we recommend you wait for a couple of days before checking again.
