A couple of weeks ago, Xiaomi released the Android 14 beta build for its devices but limited to only developers. The company is now expanding the test to the public, although you must be a registered Xiaomi Android 14 beta tester to try the latest Android OS on your device. Luckily, the company has commenced beta registration for those that wish to participate in the ongoing tests.
On May 10, 2023, Xiaomi released the first Android 14 beta build for developers. The testing is ongoing, but the company has opened it up for more people. Unfortunately, only limited Xiaomi phone users can participate in the current test, and is based on first-come, first-served.
The Xiaomi Android 14 beta recruitment exercise is open to Global ROM users of the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 12T. According to Xiaomi, it is only 2000 recruits from each model. Hence, you should apply immediately if you wish to participate.
Meanwhile, the build you will receive after being recruited is a beta ROM. It is likely to contain bugs that might leave your phone dead (can’t turn on). Hence, you should be willing to visit the local Xiaomi Service Center if you experience such after upgrading to the Beta ROM.
