Google plans to achieve Android 15 platform stability by June, with a stable build expected in October. They are currently rolling out the Android 15 beta 2 update, which is about time for third-party OEMs to join the testing. Earlier, OnePlus released the build for select users, and now, the Xiaomi Android 15 beta update is available for download.
Xiaomi has announced the availability of Android 15 beta 1 update for select phones in China. According to the company, the release is to “facilitate enthusiast users to try early adopters and help developers upgrade and adapt Xiaomi phones to Android 15 beta 1 as soon as possible.”
The build is for developers and advanced users. It should not be installed on the daily driver, as these updates come with bugs that can make your device unstable. Also, installing the ROM requires the Fastboot method, meaning an unlocked bootloader. Your device must have an unlocked bootloader before installing this update.
Meanwhile, only Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 14, Redmi K60 Extreme Edition, and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 have Android 15 beta 1-based HyperOS build available. They are China exclusive currently, but we expect Global release in the coming hours.
