Xiaomi is among the first smartphone makers to release the latest security patch update. The Chinese company is still behind Samsung and Google, perhaps due to the number of phones they have in the market. Nevertheless, they still provide timely updates to eligible smartphones, and as expected, the August 2024 security patch is now rolling out.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi isn’t rolling out the August 2024 security patch update simultaneously like Google. Only a few devices in select regions are getting the update, with Redmi Note 11 being the latest to start getting the update Globally. It’s a security patch build only, meaning no new additions are coming with it.
Nonetheless, we recommend installing the update when prompted, as over 46 security vulnerabilities ranging from high to critical were fixed. In addition, the update has improved performance and resolved issues.

Currently, only the Redmi Note 11 is receiving the update with version number OS1.0.7.0.TGCMIXM. You can check the updater app for the upgrade or use the link below to download the Recovery ROM and install it manually. Meanwhile, ensure to back up your data before installing the update.
