Xiaomi Civi lineup focuses on camera experience, and with the third generation, Xiaomi continues the trend. The device has compelling camera specs, perhaps the front-facing camera. It uses a powerful Dimensity SoC paired with the latest storage option and a beefy battery.
Xiaomi Civi 3 features dual 32 MP front camera sensors. It sits on a pill-shaped cutout, like Apple’s Dynamic Island, with LED flashlights. They sit close to the speaker grill on both ends, which uses AI to simulate lighting effects on selfies for more life-like colors. Interestingly, the camera features OIS and autofocus, while the second can shoot 4k videos and features a 100° angle.
The back camera features triple sensors housed in a circular cutout. It’s a 50 MP IMX800 sensor with 1.0μm pixels and OIS, an 8MP Ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. And like the front sensors, the back camera can shoot 4k videos at 30fps.
Under the hood, Xiaomi Civi 3 features MediaTek Dimensity 8200. It’s paired with 12/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. Outside of-the box, the device runs Android 13 on top of MIUI 14.
The display is a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution that refreshes at 120Hz. It’s protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and supports up to 1500 nits of brightness. The display also houses an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
