Xiaomi HyperOS update rollout is still rolling out to eligible users in China and globally. The release is in the second phase, with devices not on the first batch receiving the update. That is the case with the Xiaomi Civi 3 HyperOS update, as the device was not on the first batch to receive the update.
The HyperOS update rollout might have started slowly, but it has since gained momentum with many devices currently receiving the update. Meanwhile, the latest release is exclusive to Chinese users of the Xiaomi Civi 3. The device debuted with Android 13 based on MIUI 14, and was always going to receive Android 14.
The Android 14 update is now rolling out with a version number OS1.0.3.0.UMICNXM. As expected, it delivers a new OS while bumping the Android security patch level to November 2023. There have been a few tweaks and additions, with the control center revamped and the weather app redesigned. Animations have been smoother, and performance and connectivity were enhanced while bugs were fixed.
Meanwhile, the update is currently rolling out for Mi Pilots members and will take a couple of days before reaching everyone. You can download the Recovery ROM using the link below, but back up your data before installing it. Also, your bootloader should be locked before downloading or installing the update.
