Xiaomi promised to release the Mi A3 Android 10 in March, but somehow, the update arrived on February 29. We think Xiaomi horridly released the update to calm nerves as a series of bugs are being reported after the upgrade.
We already listed the bugs that users are facing after the update, you can check for it here and see how to resolve it. Meanwhile, the Mi A3 Android 10 is now discontinued, which suggests that those that didn’t get the update on February 29 will wait for the new release.
According to our source, when they queried the official Xiaomi channel about the update, the below answer was what they gave:
I would like to inform you that as of now now [sic] we have stopped rollout Android 10 for Mi A3 as we have found multiple error [sic]. However, our team are [sic] working on the same and they will release soon.
Xiaomi updates always come with few bugs, but it was a different thing for the Mi A3 Android 10. Over five major bugs were reported in just two days, which proves how buggy the update was. We think it’s rather a good thing if you didn’t get the update as the bugs are just too much. However, you will be able to update your Mi A3 to Android 10 when it starts rolling out again.

For now, there’s no time frame as to when the update will start rolling out again, but we believe it will be this month. And until the update starts rolling, you’re better off rocking your Android 9. We won’t advise you to download the zip file for manual flashing, but if you can handle those bugs, then head to this link to download the 1.3GB sized update.
