Xiaomi HyperOS 1.5 to start rolling out soon

We were waiting for MIUI 15 before Xiaomi confirmed its next Android skin will answer HyperOS. The rollout started in China before rolling out to the international models. While animation and stability were improved, there was not a big UI overhaul, as it could be difficult to tell the difference between MIUI and HyperOS. However, we expect a new iteration of the Xiaomi HyperOS, and we could see it start seeding for eligible users soon.

Xiaomi HyperOS 1.5

We understand that Xiaomi is already working on HyperOS 1.5. It is probably a minor upgrade to improve stability and performance before the arrival of HyperOS 2.0 later this year. Unfortunately, the features of the supposed update are limited since it is currently in closed beta. However, we have learned some of the improvements Xiaomi will make with the upcoming update.

Some features of Xiaomi HyperOS 1.5

Xiaomi will probably not make any visual changes with their upcoming update but focus on improving performance and stability. We have seen fewer bugs in HyperOS compared to MIUI, and we believe the company will continue on that route. That is probably the case, according to StarVoyager, a reputable Chinese developer.

Xiaomi HyperOS 1.5 will “Optimize application preloading to improve application startup speed.
Optimize startup animation strategy to reduce application startup delay.
Optimize the system resource recycling strategy when switching applications to improve application fluency
.”

There is currently no date when the update will start rolling out, but we hope to get a confirmation by next month. Also, it seems only a few Xiaomi phones will receive the update, but that is unlikely, given how Xiaomi has operated in the past. We hope to learn more about the Xiaomi HyperOS 1.5 update in the coming days.
