Xiaomi Mi 10 becomes the latest phone to start getting Android 12 upgrade with a stable MIUI 13 build. The device debuted in 2020 with Android 10 pre-installed. It’s currently running Android 11 based on MIUI 12.5, but that changes with the latest update. At least for the Chinese variants, it can now be upgraded to Android 12 with the stable MIUI 13.
It’s the first time the Xiaomi Mi 10 Android 12-based MIUI 13 update is seeding for the public. The initial release was an open beta build, which only those enrolled in the closed beta group can install. Of course, it can be side-loaded using TWRP, but that would be too much workload and stress for some people. It’s always recommended that updates are downloaded via the updater app. Fortunately, those using the Xiaomi Mi 10 can upgrade their device to Android 12 over the air.
The update is seeding with a version number ‘MIUI 13.0.2.0 SJBCNXM.’ From that build number, the update is based on Android 12 and comes with features of MIUI 13. Unlike the global models, it has introduced a new MiSan Font, improved and new security features, more widget options, new wallpapers, and more. Also, the update has revamped that control center to add Mi Smart Hub – a new to seamless link Xiaomi ecosystem. Check the complete changes here.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Android 12-based MIUI 13 update is a limited rollout. It’s exclusive to Mi Pilots at the moment, but we expect a public release in the coming days. Hopefully, the international models will start getting the upgrade in the coming weeks.
