Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite and POCO X3 Pro have been added to the EOL list. The duo hasn’t been receiving updates, and with the latest development, it means HyperOS officially won’t be coming. You might consider switching to a new Xiaomi phone if you prioritize security.
Xiaomi has a five-year support policy that started with the Xiaomi 13T series. It means select devices released after that announcement will receive four Android OS upgrades and five years of security support. Before that, Xiaomi phones were eligible for three years of Android support with two OS upgrades guaranteed, which applies to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite and POCO X3 Pro.
Both phones debuted in March 2021, running Android 11, and have since received two Android OS upgrades, with Android 13 arriving a year ago for the Mi 11 Lite 4G. Unfortunately, the duo will not receive any updates going forward, including the HyperOS update.
Xiaomi has added the Mi 11 Lite 4G and POCO X3 Pro to the End of Life list, meaning they won’t release an update for the device. However, if there is a serious security vulnerability, the company might be forced to release an update to address that. We recommend moving on from these phones if you prioritize security and frequent updates.
