Xiaomi Mi 11 specs
The Xiaomi Mi 11 is very different from the predecessor in terms of design. Xiaomi managed to squeeze inside the 8.1mm thick body of their next flagship phone some fascinating features. The device has the four edges curved while the bezels have shrunk to make the screen bigger. It’s a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protecting the display, and according to Xiaomi, the glass has a 50% drop resistance and improved scratch resistance up to 100%.
At the back, Xiaomi also used Gorilla Glass. However, there’s a special edition with Eco leeather, while on the frame is aluminum. The camera housing looks weird and sits at the top left side of the back panel. It houses the triple camera alongside the LED flash. There’s no headphone jack but stereo speakers, and you’d find the USB-C port around the button as well.
Xiaomi Mi 11 display
The display is one of the Xiaomi Mi 11 specs that has improved. For the first time, Xiaomi is equipping its device with a QuadHD+ resolution display. It also features 120Hz adaptive refresh Sync and 480Hz sampling, which makes it a better display. The 6.81-inch Super AMOLED QHD+ display has a peak brightness of 1500nits while featuring HDR10+ and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Xiaomi Mi 11 performance
The Mi 11 is already a powerhouse, and Snapdragon 888 is behind it. The SoC is paired with up to 12GB with improved speed of up to 6.4Gbps and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Adreno 660 GPU coupled with the impressive display, will deliver class-leading graphics while the RAM ensures seamless gaming and multitasking. Outside-of-the-box, the device runs Android 11 on top of MIUI 12. It’s expected to receive the newly released MIUI 12.5 update in April, which will improve the performance further.
Xiaomi Mi 11 camera
Xiaomi decided to revert to a triple camera system this time, but some things didn’t change. The primary camera is still a 108MP, but with some improvement and also features OIS. It’s paired with a 13MP ultrawide angle-lens and a 5MP telephoto/macro shooter. Around the front panel is a 20MP selfie snapper integrated inside a punch hole.
Xiaomi Mi 11 battery and security
With all these features, the Mi 11 will be hungry for power, and for that reason, Xiaomi has equipped it with a massive 4600mAh battery. It also has some features like 55W wired charging, which charged the battery in 45minutes, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging for wearables.
As for security, the device uses an optical under-display fingerprint scanner. It also doubles as a heart rate monitor, meaning it has been optimized for better accuracy and performance.
Xiaomi Mi 11 price and availability
Xiaomi Mi 11 price, surprisingly, starts at $612 (CYN 3,900). It’s the same price as the Mi 10 when it launched for the same 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 8GB /128GB goes for $660, while the 12GB/256GB model sets you back $720. Pre-orders are on-going in China, and the device will start shipping on January 1. Available colors are Black, White, Blue, Purple, Khaki.
