Xiaomi has been sending out the stable Android 12-based MIUI 13 update for a couple of months now. Surprisingly, the Chinese tech company started the deployment with affordable offerings and has slowly moved to the high-end. In recent times, they’ve released the update to Xiaomi 11T, Mi 11 Ultra, and are currently pushing the update to the Xiaomi Mi 11i. The update weighs in at about 3.3GB and comes with all the expected features, although the update log says otherwise. Supposedly, the update has introduced a new control center, added new widgets, and revamped the sidebar.
Meanwhile, according to the changelog, the update has bumped the Android security patch level to February 2022 and moved the Android OS to version 12. Also, apps can be opened as floating windows from the sidebar, while there have been multiple optimizations. The update seems to have improved system performance and stability, although there have been cases of bugs. That said, you should back up your files before proceeding with the upgrade.
