The Xiaomi Mi 11X is the latest phone to start pushing the MIUI 13 update, the current iteration of Android from the Chinese company. Perhaps, you might be wondering why the update has just reached the phone, given that it’s part of the Mi 11 family. The truth is that the device was among the first to receive the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update, but in China under the Redmi K40 moniker. It arrived in Europe a couple of weeks ago for the POCO F3 and has now arrived in India for the Mi 11X. And yes, the three phones have the same deployment but launched under different monikers across the globe.
The Xiaomi Mi 11X stable MIUI 13 update is seeding with a version number MIUI 13.0.4.0 SKHINXM and weighs 3.1GB. From the build number, it has pushed the Android version to Android 12 while bumping the Android security patch level to February 2022. Supposedly, the update has increased security, while feedback so far suggests stability is something Xiaomi has improved ok with the stable MIUI 13 update.
Nevertheless, some bugs were reported after upgrading to the latest iteration of MIUI, and you can check here for them. And while there are no major issues, we’d recommend backing up your files before proceeding with the upgrade. The reason is that cross-section Android upgrades are most likely to contain bugs.
Back to the features of the Xiaomi Mi 11X stable MIUI 13 update. The update introduced new widgets, Crystallization Super wallpapers, sidebar and revamped the control center to integrate Mi Smart Hub. Also, apps can be opened as floating windows from the sidebar while there has been Enhanced accessibility support for Phone, Clock, and Weather apps.
