With the recent events, everyone is skeptical about installing the Mi A3 Android 11 update now. All the early birds had their device bricked by this update. It was even worse than what we’ve seen before as it happened on new year’s Eve, and most people couldn’t wish their loved ones a happy new year as a result. Xiaomi, as always, acknowledged the problem and promised to fix it.
Thus far, those who visited the Mi service center was able to revive their phones with zero data loss. It also seems the issues have been fixed, and you can now install the Mi A3 Android 11 update when prompted.
Meanwhile, those in Europe have joined the party. For weeks now, the update has been limited to global ROM users. However, it has been extended to Europe and comes in a 1.40GB package. It’s the same update but wouldn’t brick your phone as the issue is resolved.
The Mi A3 Android 11 update in Europe has a version number, V12.0.2.0 RFQEUXM. It comes with the December security patch and doesn’t seem to leave any bugs. We are yet to confirm that as those who updated globally are facing a series of bugs.
Of course, the update is being pushed over the air and might take time to appear on all eligible units. Unfortunately, we haven’t come across the download links, and hence you will have to wait for it to arrive via OTA. The Mi A3 Android 11 update in Europe will arrive with the following changes/improvement:
- Improved notification shade
- Conversation bubbles
- Better permission management
- Improved DND mode
Aside from that, you’d notice other changes. You can let us know via the comment section if you’re currently facing any issues after the upgrade. And you can check here for all the Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 11 bugs.
