Xiaomi has been quietly teasing the MIUI 13 for some time now. With each closed beta release, the company seems to add new features, supposedly debuting with the next iteration of its Android skin. According to one of the company’s executives, MIUI 13 will debut in August, and as such, the MIUI 13 beta update should start rolling out soon. Going by the recent report, Xiaomi has started pushing a version of MIUI in China that’s part of the MIUI 13 beta.
The screenshot shared by the Xiaomiui telegram group suggests that the MIUI 12.5 closed beta V12.7.5 could be the last version of MIUI 12. Xiaomi is pushing the update to the Chinese closed beta testers with the V12.7.6, expected to start seeding on Wednesday. The build is based on Version 0 of MIUI, which means a new version is coming and is, of course, MIUI 13.
Also, the MIUI file manager suggests that MIUI 13 beta update will officially start rolling out on July 16, 2021. If that’s the case, then MIUI open beta updates will be suspended from July 7, 2021, to July 16, 2021. With that, the current build rolling out will be the last version of MIUI based on version 12.
Of course, these are early reports and the release date of MIUI 13 beta update might be pushed back. However, Xiaomi usually announces that a new version of its MIUI is coming via the closed beta release notes. Hence, we will wait for the V12.7.6 note to confirm whether the latest report is true. But given the schedule for the release of MIUI 13, we believe the time has come for the beta update to start rolling out.
That said, you should keep an eye on our website for a new report about the MIUI 13 beta update. And yes, the update will start in China, and hopefully, MIUI 13 beta recruitment will start soon for more people to join.
