Xiaomi Pad 6 is the latest device to start getting a new stable update. Both Global and Indian users are getting the much-anticipated update which bumps the Android security patch level to the new version. Aside from that, it has supposedly addressed the Netflix HD playback issue highlighted in the latest MIUI weekly bug report.
Xiaomi Pad 6 users reported issues playing back Netflix videos on HD. The bug at the time of the last MIUI weekly bug report was being analyzed, but it seems the issue has been resolved, hence, the new update. While both Global and Indian users are getting a new update, it’s the Indian build that supposedly has a fix for HD video playback issues.
The update is seeding with a version number MIUI 14.0.4.0 TMZMIXM for global users and MIUI 14.0.3.0 TMZINXM for Indian users. According to the changelog, the update bumps the Android security patch level to July 2023 and increases system security. We expect a fix for the Netflix HD video playback issues to be part of the package.
Meanwhile, after updating your device to the latest build and the issue persists, you should check your Widevine level. Your device should be on L1 to play Netflix in HD, and if it’s on L3, the latest Xiaomi Pad 6 didn’t resolve the issue for your device.
