The next Android OS update is already on a Stable Beta phase, meaning that the arrival of the stable version is imminent. Google is currently pushing beta builds to those that signed up for it. Also, some OEMs like Xiaomi are testing the build with a few of their phones testing the update internally. According to what we have seen so far, Android 13 will bring a whole new design. The update will improve privacy, and it will add a privacy dashboard to help you see apps that have accessed your information and the app that accessed it last.
Another privacy feature of Android 12 is the ability to share an approximate location instead of your precise location. Although that might have some disadvantages, it is there and will be important when permitted for apps. Perhaps, apps like weather that doesn’t need your precise location. Of course, when using Google Map, you’ll need to share your accurate location for the app to function properly. Also, the update will improve accessibility features for visually unstable people, bring support for scrolling screenshots and conversation widgets.
All the aforementioned Android 12 features and more will be coming to Xiaomi phones. However, some of them are integrated inside MIUI already, but it’ll probably improve the fluidity. Currently, about eight Xiaomi flagship phones are testing the build internally. They automatically qualify to receive the update, and below is the list of Xiaomi phones to receive the Android 12 update.
