We have another impressive piece of tech from the Xiaomi brand and you wouldn’t believe, it’s from the Redmi Note 12 series. It’s the very amazing Xiaomi Redmi 12R Pro with a lot of sleek features. However, sadly, the smartphone remains China-exclusive till(maybe) the brand decides to change its mind.
Features of the Xiaomi Redmi 12R Pro
The Xiaomi Redmi 12R Pro, according to the firm, is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. To compare, the handset has up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, which is similar to many of Xiaomi’s other mid-range smartphones.
The Xiaomi Redmi 12R Pro also has the same 6.67-inch AMOLED display as the rest of the Redmi Note 12 series. As a result, the screen works at 2,400 x 1,080 pixels with a peak refresh rate of 120 Hz. Furthermore, the panel has a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits and sits in front of a 12 MP front-facing camera. Xiaomi has added a 48 MP primary rear-facing camera as well as a 2 MP depth of field sensor.
The Xiaomi Redmi 12R Pro also sports a 5,000 mAh battery and a USB 2.0 Type-C connection that allows 33 W wired charging. The gadget also contains a fingerprint scanner on the side, a 3.5 mm socket, and an IR transmitter.
The Redmi Note 12R Pro also has IP53 certification and MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Xiaomi now only sells the Redmi Note 12R Pro in China, where it begins at CNY 1,999 (US$289) and comes in three color variants with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. However, as said earlier, the company has not stated whether it intends to sell the Redmi Note 12R Pro globally.
