Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, has finally released its latest mid-range phone. The device has been on many leaks in the past few days, but we now know everything about the device, including the starting price.
It’s now likely that Xiaomi is moving to a round camera island for its upcoming Redmi Note 14 series. The Redmi 14C has a circular camera bump, which houses a primary 50 MP AI camera and an auxiliary shooter. The other two cutouts are for LED flash and a sticker.
There’s a single 13 MP selfie camera on the 6.88-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and supports 600-nit peak brightness.
Under the hood is MediaTek’s Helio G81 Ultra Soc. It’s an Octa-core processor with Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55. They are clocked at up to 2.0GHZ paired with the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. Xiaomi Redmi 14C comes in 4/6/8 GB RAM and only two memory options – 128/256GB. However, you get expandable storage with a microSD card.
Power is drawn from a 5,160 mAh battery with 18 W wired charging support. Luckily, the headphone jack is still there while the power button doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
