Redmi 9T is one of the popular Xiaomi phones released under the Redmi sub-brand in the last few years. The device debuted in January 2021, after the release in China as Redmi Note 9 4G. It runs Android 10 outside of the box, which has since upgraded to Android 11 with the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition. We never expect the phone to receive another Android OS upgrade as entry-level phones usually receive one, but given our previous reports, Xiaomi Redmi 9T Android 12 update is on the card. Interestingly, the internal testing of the update has started, and we expect the stable release in the coming weeks/months.
Xiaomi will release another Android OS update to the Redmi 9T with a stable MIUI 13 update. The company is testing the Redmi 9T Android 12 build internally, and we hope for a stable release in the coming months. Perhaps, we might get a hint on the release when the Chinese models get upgraded to Android 12. For now, Xiaomi hasn’t said a word about the release schedule. However, we hope to learn about that in the coming weeks.
The Xiaomi Redmi 9T Android 12 update will be the last OS upgrade for the device. However, the phone will get at least, one MIUI upgrade, given its three years of support, which ends in January 2023. Meanwhile, you can access all Redmi 9T stable updates, including the latest version from our tracker page.
