It seems Xiaomi is planning to take a huge part of the 2023 market share with amazing smartphones debuting here and there. Well, new leaks suggest that the Xiaomi Redmi K60(from the flagship lineup of the Redmi subbrand) will be arriving on December 27.

The Xiaomi RedmI K60 will be arriving in China by that stipulated date (December 27) according to a post by the brand on Weibo’s page. Sadly, the smartphone will not be getting a gaming version, however, the brand mentioned that the smartphone should be just perfect for gaming given the specs and there will be no need to make a gaming version – so, that’s still amazing news.
As regards features of the Xiaomi Redmi K60, sources mentioned that the smartphone will be taking up a triple camera setup at the rear and of course a selfie camera at the front. According to the brand, Xiaomi Redmi K60 will be housing a periscope shooter which is the first from the lineup to house the feat.
Furthermore, the brand manager mentions that the regular Xiaomi Redmi K60 will be powered by the Dimensity 8200 chip while the Pro counterpart will be taking the predecessor of the very impressive Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.
For reference, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus comprises one Kryo ARM Cortex X2-based Prime core clocked at a whopping 3.2GHz, three Kryo ARM Cortex A710-based performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz as well as four Kryo ARM Cortex A510-based efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz. This is a 10 percent increase in CPU performance and an amazing 30 percent increase in power efficiency compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Speaking of the GPU, it houses Adreno GPU which ensures HDR gaming with 10-bit colour depth and Rec. 2020 colour gaming, volumetric and physical-based rendering among a few other impressive feats. The improvements on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus GPU gives a 10 percent increase in GPU clock speeds plus a 30 per cent increase in GPU power efficiency.
