The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series is already around the corner after receiving rumours (time and time again) since it was tipped in October. Well, the Redmi Note 12 series was said to be launching in just China but that’s not the case anymore(at least according to current reports). It has been revealed that Indian users will be feeling the heat of the Redmi Note 12 series.
All there is to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series
The Xiaomi Redmi branch in India announced that Indian users will be getting the smartphone(it’s no longer exclusive to the Chinese). The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series comprises four smartphones – the vanilla Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 12 Discovery (which is also nicknamed Explorer).
According to the photos shared by the India branch of the Chinese tech giant, the users will be getting all the smartphones in the lineup apart from the regular Redmi Note 12(that’s the Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 12 Discovery). Although this wasn’t mentioned by Xiaomi, the poster says no vanilla model is coming to India.
The vanilla model has a dual camera setup at the rear while the other three have three cameras set up at the rear. Judging by the poster, there’s no dual camera setup smartphone there so that’s our footstool. Meanwhile, what features are we expecting from this new series?
First off, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, Pro+ and Discovery are powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 1080, however, there are little differences in sections like camera, battery, charging and some others. It is worth noting that the Discovery variant of this series is housing a 200MP camera sensor at the rear and also gets an amazing 210W wired charging ( I think this is one of the highest you can find around). As regards software, the four smartphones in the lineup might get the MIUI 14.
On the side of the Vanilla version of the Redmi Note 12, there’s the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 powering it and lower camera features and probably the “low features” apply to other sections – you can check out the full specs by following the link at the end of this article.
