Here’s the crux of the matter: Xiaomi will be releasing the Redmi Note 12S very soon and the smartphone will be taking up Mediatek chipset, according to sources. Let’s take a look at the other information we have about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12S.
Details of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12S
Xiaomi is working on another interim update for a popular smartphone series, according to leaker Kacper Skrzypek. The Redmi Note 11S series, as well as the Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12T series, were introduced last year. There has been no substantial evidence of the Redmi Note 12S series thus far, with Skrzypek claiming to have learned about it via one of Xiaomi’s European dealers.
In other words, rather than being a Chinese or Indian exclusive, the Redmi Note 12S series should be available globally. Xiaomi is said to begin selling the series in mid-May, however, this does not exclude the firm from unveiling the series a few weeks sooner, as it did with the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. Skrzypek also mentions two Redmi Note 12 series devices dubbed ‘ocean’ and ‘sea,’ which have yet to be seen anywhere.
Very little is known about the “sea” and “ocean” at the moment. Skrzypek, on the other hand, claims that the duo may rely on MediaTek chipsets, the precise SoC of which is unclear at this time. Also, one model will include an NFC connection while the other will not. As a result, it appears that the Redmi Note 12S series will be a rather inexpensive gadget. Meanwhile, in the Eurozone, Xiaomi offered the Redmi Note 11S for around €200.
