Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi Note 13 alongside the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. The two Pro models are more powerful, while the vanilla model is the most affordable.
The Redmi Note 13 keeps a flat AMOLED screen. It’s a 6.67-inch panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach 1000-nit brightness under light. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass, and could only certify an IP54 rating, meaning it’s only resistant to dust and splash.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 13 features a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 Octa-Core SoC. It has two performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six efficiency cores at 2.0GHz. You get up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of non-expandable storage.
For optics, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 employs a primary 100MP sensor paired with a 2MP depth shooter. The front camera sensor is a 16MP shooter. None of these sensors has OIS, nor can they shoot 4K videos. Meanwhile, the Pro models are capable, hence, you might consider the duo.
Delivering power is a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. There’s no wireless or reverse charging, and we don’t think any of the models feature it. Outside of the box, the device will run Android 13 on top of MIUI 14.
Other features of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 include Bluetooth 5.3, a Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an Infrared Port, Stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 price and availability
The device is available in Star Sand, Midnight Dark, and Time Blue colors. It starts at CNY 1,099 ($150) for the base version. Currently, the availability is China-exclusive, but we expect the global release in the coming months.
