While some devices on the first wave of the HyperOS rollout are yet to get the update, Xiaomi has started rolling out the much-anticipated upgrade to phones in the second batch. The Xiaomi Redmi Pad Android 14-based HyperOS update is now available for units sold in China. As usual, the rollout is exclusive to limited users for preview.
Xiaomi has started rolling out the HyperOS update to the Redmi Pad. The release is available for those in China, and it’s seeding with a version number OS1.0.2.0.ULYCNXM. As expected, it has delivered all the HyperOS features to improve performance and resolve issues.
The update revamped the control center, but there have been some issues with the music player’s quick button. There are new system fonts and new home screen icons, while a new animation language to make animations smooth is part of the package. You will notice improved connectivity and security after upgrading your Redmi Pad to Android 14 with a stable HyperOS update.
Meanwhile, we recommend you check all the reported HyperOS issues before installing the upgrade. Though most are what you can resolve with a factory reset, you can only do that when all your data are backed up. Also, if you are waiting for the OTA, ensure your bootloader is locked and you have an authorized Xiaomi Beta account before installing the build manually.
