After spending months on the rumor mill, Xiaomi has finally revealed the Redmi Pad. The Tablet launched in India with some compelling specs while starting at a competitive price.
Xiaomi Redmi Pad features a 10.61-inch IPS display. It’s a 2K Resolution panel that refreshes at 90Hz with 1Billion of colors. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio 699 Octa-core processor built on a 6nm process. Coupled with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, there won’t be any app crashing.
There are two cameras on the Redmi Pad – 8MP front snapper and an 8MP back shooter. The rear sensor features an in-built document scanner. Aside from that, you can get decent shots using the sensors.
Power is drawn from a beefy 8000mAh battery but charges at 18W. According to Xiaomi, on a full charge, which might take hours, you get 21+ hours of video playback and 8+ days of music playback. The Tablet supports Dual Band Wifi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3.
As expected, Xiaomi Redmi Pad runs MIUI 13 for Pad based on Android 12. It has features like split screen, multi-windows, and Mi Smart Hub. Xiaomi is promising three years of security patch support and two Android OS upgrades, which makes the unit eligible for Android 14. Interestingly, you get a free 2month YouTube Premium with the Pad 5.
