Xiaomi sub-brand, Redmi, recently released the second generation of its Smartwatch. It sports some improvements from the predecessor, making it a better option. The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 2 uses an AMOLED panel, and it is powered by Apollo 3.5 chipset. Interestingly, the body is rated for 5 ATM (50m) of water resistance. As for the price, Xiaomi has set the starting price at $63.

Redmi Watch 2 specs
The latest Redmi Watch made a few adjustments from its predecessor. It switches from IPS LCD to an AMOLED panel while the screen is now taller, and it has a resolution of 320 X 360px. The body is made of plastic, while the frame is also plastic. It’s available in three color options – Black, Blue, and Ivory.

Redmi Watch 2 display and performance
The display measures 1.6-inches and has a resolution of 320 X 360px. It will deliver accurate details and punchy colors. Under the hood is the Apollo 3.5 chipset, and it supports 117 different sports modes with swim-tracking inclusive. The watch also comes with a sleep and heart rate tracker, currently known as Blood-oxygen (SpO2) sensor.
Interestingly, the watch body is rated for 5 ATM (50m) of water resistance. It means the watch can be immersed into 50m deep water, and it won’t stop working. Also, it supports GPS trackers – GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou. The watch also supports NFC.
Battery and size
The Redmi Watch 2 has a beefy 320mAh battery that charges through a magnetic connector. According to Xiaomi, the device will last for 12 days on a single charge. And even with a bigger battery, the size is down to 31g from 35g for the predecessor.
