According to the brand, this version is light but still, performance-focused and will be offering features similar to the Pro version of the lineup. It also bears some features similar to the high-end and just-released Xiaomi Redmi K60.

At the big event, we got to see the amazing Xiaomi Redmi K60 series with some brilliant features, then there were the wearables (Xiaomi Watch 3, Xiaomi Band 2 and the fancy Redmi Buds 4 Lite), but alongside these pieces of tech, there’s the Redmi 12 Pro Speed Edition.
The smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset which is about a year and three months old and is considered an improvement compared to the Mediatek Dimensity 1080 chipset. As regards the camera, the rear camera setup houses a 108 MP main camera sensor which is an improvement compared to the 50MP shooter on the 12 Pro.
Redmi 12 Pro Speed Edition uses an OLED display and takes up a 5000 mAh battery to be charged by a 67W charger, just like the Xiaomi Redmi K60. The “light” fashion the brand talked about has to be the Redmi 12 Pro Speed Edition being wallet-friendly.
You can get the 6/128GB variant of this smartphone for $244/1699 yuan, the 8/256GB and 12/256GB variants can be obtained for $259 and $287 respectively. On availability, you can get the smartphone right now unlike the Redmi K60 series which doesn’t go on sale until December 31.
