Xiaomi is now pushing a new update to the Redmi Note 7. The update is arriving for the EU ROM users and comes with a version number MIUI 11.0.7.0. It comes along with some bug fixes, system optimization, and improved performance.
Meanwhile, the ROM is a Beta build and is currently arriving for Beta Teams, Mi Pilots, and some random users. It is arriving via OTA and will likely take some time before getting on all phones. And if you didn’t receive the new Redmi Note 7 update, we advise you to wait for the public release. Again, when a prompt notification for the update gets to your phone, download immediately if interested, or otherwise, it will be pulled back.
According to users in the Mi community forum, the bug with the 48MP camera resolution is fixed. For now, that’s the only fix that’s reported, and luckily, no new bug came with the update.
As for when the device will receive the Android 10 update, we can’t answer that for now. However, the device has been in a closed beta testing for a while now – the Chinese version. After the Beta ROM preview, the update will start rolling out for everyone, and hopefully in the coming weeks.
The device debuted last year with Snapdragon 660 Octa-Core processor, running Android 9 based on MIUI 10. It has since been updated to the latest MIUI 11 custom ROM while it’s also eligible to receive the MIUI 12. Therefore, it’s eligible for Android 10 because Xiaomi promises one major OS update for its mid-range phones.
Other features of the device include a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charge support. The rear camera has dual primary 48MP snapper + 5MP sensor for depth sensing. It uses a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and you can check out the full specs here.
Don’t forget to leave feedback for us after getting on the new Redmi Note 7 update.
