After the first Android 10 rollout to Mi A2 Lite bricked some devices, the company promised to drop a fix for the buggy Android build last month, but couldn’t deliver. However, it seems a new update is arriving for the users of Mi A2 Lite.
According to users on Mi community forum, a new update started hitting their phones this morning. The update is based on Android 10 and weighs 1.15GB. It comes along with Dark theme, Gesture Navigation, privacy control, and Qualcomm app [ replaced Xiaomi FM radio].
Unfortunately, at the time of this report, we couldn’t verify whether the update is the fix Xiaomi promised or just another buggy update. Considering what happened a few days ago when Android 10 was released to Mi A3 for the third time, we advise you to wait before downloading the latest build. We will update this post with feedback once we get them to let you know if the update is safe.

Meanwhile, Android 10 to Mi A2 Lite is currently hitting units in Nepal and will extend to other regions very shortly. However, updates like this are rolled out in batches, as such, it will take some time before getting to all devices, but that’s if it’s not pulled back again.
