The Mi A2 is among the Xiaomi Android One device, currently running the latest Android operating system. It debuted running Android 8.1 Oreo, received Android Pie last year, and was upgraded to Android 10 early this year. However, it seems some units are not upgraded yet, well that’s about to change as the April security patch for Mi A2 starts seeding with a stable Android 10.
The update is coming with a version number V11.0.8.0 QDIMIXM and weighs in at 21.05. That size is probably for devices running Android 10, so expect a bigger size update if you’re in Android Pie.
Coming along with the update is the updated Android security patch, which now dates 5Th April 2020. Below is the full change of the April security patch for Mi A2.

From the feedback in the Mi community forum, the battery draining issue has persisted. However, it’s believed there has been an improvement as the battery issue is not like before. Apart from that, no other bug is reported. We believe the update is safe, so you should go ahead and download once you get a notification. You can as well perform a manual check by going to Settings> System update> check for updates.
A quick specs overview of the Mi A2, the device launched with a 5.99-inch display and Snapdragon 660 Octa-Core processor. Outside-of-the-box it runs Android 8.1 but currently on Android 10. Unfortunately, it’s probably the last OS update that will be pushed to the device, considering the two-year compulsory OS upgrade for Android One phones.
