We have unconfirmed reports that Xiaomi will debut the Mi CC10 next month. Ever since that report surfaced online, details of the device keep popping up. The Xiaomi Mi CC10 protective glass has already been spotted on Alibaba, and now, the protective case pops up on Taboao, showing us what’s supposed to be the rear design.
It’s not something new for smartphone protective cases to appear online before the official launch date. We have seen that a lot in that last, and that’s because smartphone companies like Xiaomi have a program that smartphone case manufacturers can pay to be part of, which gives them early access to smartphone designs. The reason is to have the protective cases ready before the official launch, which most of the time is shown off during the device unveiling.
The Xiaomi Mi CC10 is alleged to launch next month, and it’s no surprise that we are beginning to see details of the device. According to the recent listing on Taboao, a Chinese e-commerce store, the device will have a circular rear camera design.
The Xiaomi Mi CC10 protective case listing reveals a Quad-camera arrangement on a circular housing. The sensor is similar to that on Redmi K30 Pro, but the arrangement is different. It’s arranged in four cardinal directions. Around the front panel, there’s no notch, which is contrary to the first listing, but according to our source, there is neither a cut-out for a pop-up camera. It’s most likely the device will have a punch-hole or in-display camera, maybe.
From early reports, the device which has a codename CAS has been in the works since the beginning of the year. It’s expected to launch under the Xiaomi Mi CC smartphone line up.
The device, unlike the predecessor, Mi CC9, will feature a primary 108MP sensor. It’s believed to be an improved sensor from that of Mi CC9 Pro, codenamed HM2, which will have support for up to 12x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. Also, the unannounced Snapdragon 775G SoC with 5G support will power the device.
If the rumored July time frame is correct, then it won’t be long until we start seeing official posters and renders. We would also learn about the device internals, probably the launch date and whether the device will launch outside China since the company already has a phone with Mi 10 Lite Moniker ( Mi CC9 sold globally as Mi 9 Lite).
