When it comes to performing entry-level smartphones, Xiaomi does it better than any company. Recent reports show that the Redmi 8 has sold over 19m units globally and with the unveiling of Redmi 9, which offers compelling features at an aggressive price tag, the numbers will definitely spike. That will also see the company dominate that market segment, at least, for another year.
Meanwhile, the company is set to announce two new entry-level smartphones tomorrow, which should be more affordable. The devices are Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C.
Upcoming Xiaomi Entry-level smartphones
The Redmi 9A with a model number – M2006C3LG – recently passed FCC and Thailand NBTC certification, hinting at an imminent launch. From the certification information, the Redmi 9A will run stable MIUI 12 outside-of-the-box based on Android 10. The other device that will be debuting alongside the Redmi 9A is the Redmi 9C. From the listing, the device will run a Mediatek Helio P35 Octa-Core processor with a frequency speed of 2.3GHz. It will run Android 10 outside of the box based on Xiaomi’s in-house MIUI 12 custom skin.
Xiaomi Redmi 9C has a big 6.3-inch display of 720p resolution.
