POCO F2 Pro started receiving a stable MIUI 12 update yesterday, even without undergoing a beta phase. POCO F1 users were hoping to follow the same trail but received a rather underwhelming update this morning. Currently arriving via OTA on the device, is a stable MIUI 11 based Android 10 update that brings the latest Android security patch.
The latest POCO F1 Global stable update has a version number ” MIUI 11.0.9.0 QEJMIXM”, and weighs in at 154MB. It brings the June security patch, improves the system security, and fixes minor bugs. Unfortunately, the new update still doesn’t bring much anticipated Widevine L1 certificate for Netflix, but on Prime video, it works just fine.
From the feedback, thus far, the update is working fine and no issue has been reported. If you haven’t received the update, it will surely arrive very soon, given that updates are rolled out in batches. However, you can follow the download link below this post to get the recovery ROM and flash manually.
As for when a stable MIUI 12 update will be released for POCO F1, Xiaomi didn’t give a particular time frame, but according to a recent report, it will start arriving sometime this month. Beta recruitment was recently organized for the device, alongside the Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 7, of which the Note 8 Pro has received a stable version of the MIUI 12. We expect the POCO F1 and the Redmi Note 7 to get the update soon as well.
