The Xiaomi MIUI 12, since the official unveiling, has been in close beta testing in China. Since then, other features aside from the ones that debuted with the Android skin, are being tested. Hopefully, some of these features, including the latest screen combo feature, make it to the stable build sometime in the future.
According to miuiknoun, a telegram channel, the latest MIUI 12 beta for the newly released Mi 10 Ultra has added a new feature called ‘Screen Combo.’ Thus far, only the Mi 10 Ultra is testing this particular feature, which allows you to display the content of your smartphone from a PC. The connection is done using Wi-Fi and will make it easy to transfer files between both devices.
Going by the screenshots shared on the channel, with the Screen Combo feature, you can transfer files between your phone and PC using the drag-and-drop method. Also, it lets you open multiple windows, by right-clicking on the copy of your phone screen, which will make it easy to launch apps simultaneously. Interestingly, this feature will also allow you to edit “items from your phone on your computer” when you right-click on the item.

Unfortunately, only users with the latest Mi 10 Ultra and Mi NoteBook Pro 15 2020 can enjoy the Screen Combo feature. Of course, more Xiaomi phones will support this function, probably after wider internal beta testing, which will be followed by the app launch in September this year. It’s also expected that in October, the stable version will be released. With that said, more Xiaomi phones are likely to support the function after the stable version is released, and there’s currently no information if non-Xiaomi PC will be made compatible.
