It’s unfortunate that almost one year since Google released the stable Android 10 update, some device is yet to pick up the update. Most of these phones are mid-rangers, and their manufacturers don’t see updates as a priority given the affordable price tag. However, it’s not part of Xiaomi’s policy prioritizing major updates, but things took a great turn this year.
Although we have seen many Xiaomi phones receive the Android 10 update, that of Redmi Note 8, one of Xiaomi’s most popular devices, never arrived. And with Redmi 8A Dual Android 10 build now available, releasing the build for the former will complete the rollout for the Redmi 8 series. Unfortunately, there’s still no ETA as to when the update will be released, but we hope it starts arriving soon.
Meanwhile, the Redmi 8A Dual Android 10 build started arriving a few hours ago. It’s a stable build and has made it to some eligible phones carrying a build number, MIUI 11.0.1.0 QJQINXM, and weighing in at 1.6GB. Below is the full Changelog.

The stable MIUI hasn’t moved to 12 yet. There’s also no ETA, and we might not see the update arrive anytime soon. It’s best to enjoy the Android 10 update until the MIUI 12 build is ready. And if you haven’t received the update yet, you can follow the link below this post and download it manually.
