The Xiaomi POCO F1 is currently in an open beta testing for the MIUI 12 update. In a couple of days, it will be exactly one month since the first beta stable MIUI 12 update for the Poco F1 was released. Usually, the beta phase takes two weeks, and during that period, beta testers preview the ROM. The reason is if developers have missed any bug, they’ll detect it and report back as to have it fixed before the public rollout.
However, given the number of bugs that have been reported so far, the stable MIUI 12 update for the Poco F1 isn’t just ready yet. A couple of days ago, we reported why we think POCO F1 users might have to wait before updating to MIUI 12 even after the public release. But unless a second beta stable build is released, which will probably fix some of these bugs, you should still wait for feedback.
The bugs reported include overheating, stability issues, and others, which we reported earlier. Some of these bugs need more time to be fixed and might see a second beta stable build released for the device, which is very necessary.
With that said, the update hasn’t arrived because it’s not yet ready. Developers are currently working on all the reported bugs, and only when they’re fixed will the public rollout commence. However, we might see the update start arriving in a few days or another beta stable build, considering how long the first beta preview has lasted.
And when the update finally starts rolling out, it will first arrive for limited users. It’s their feedback that’ll determine if a wider rollout will commence or if the update will be pulled. We’ll keep you updated on this, and will notify you once the update is live.
