The Xiaomi Mi 9T was among the first few Xiaomi phones that received the MIUI 12 update and have continued to receive subsequent updates to fix some bugs left by the update. Redmi Note 8 Pro has received the update as well and going by the latest build that’s rolling out for the Russian branch of MIUI, the device is now receiving its fifth MIUI 12 build.

The new Redmi Note 8 Pro update is arriving with a build number, MIUI 12.0.5.0 QGGRUXM, and weighs in at 282MB. The update brings the September patch, which improves the system security as well as fixes some bugs. For eligible users, the update will arrive in the next few days, as for now, only selected users are receiving the update.
The Xiaomi Mi 9T is getting the October security patch update. It has a build number, MIUI 12.0.3.0 QFJEUXM, and will progressively arrive on all eligible users. According to the changelog, the update brings optimization for control center layout in landscape mode and also improved the system security.
After the latest security patch update on the Mi 9T, it has been reported that it’s still difficult to turn off the notification shade and control center on the lock screen if the control center is active. There’s also an incomplete translation and typo on the Czech language in Settings. But that’s an underlying bug, and we hope that subsequent updates address the issue.
