The Redmi K20 is the first device to feature Qualcomm latest 700 series chip – Snapdragon 730 Octa-core processor. The chip is built on the 8nm process and runs Kryo 470 clusters at a frequency of 2.2GHz. The Redmi K20 display has a 6.39-inch AMOLED display supplied by Samsung with HDR support. It has a whopping 91% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to the thin bezel and of course, the selfie snapper mounted on a mechanical slide. The display has a 1080 x 2340p resolution to deliver accurate and lifelike details that’ll enhance users experience, especially gamers. And just like the MI 9 and K20 Pro, the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is used on both the front and back panel to offer extra protection.
Performance
Under the helm is Snapdragon 730 SoC, which is the latest processor under the 700-series. According to latest test on AnTuTu Benchmark, it revealed that the SoC improved by 30% compared to the predecessor and will offer more optimized performance. With improved Kryo 470 clusters clocking at 2.2GHz and coupled with up to 8GB RAM, you’ll always get a peak performance with zero lags even when multitasking demanding apps or games. The Adreno 618 will make sure all graphics are rendered accurately, while you get Android Pie on top MIUI 10 out-of-the-box
Storage
Recently, most phones not just Xiaomi comes without memory expansion slot, but they try to release multiple configurations for each device. The Redmi 20 lacks expansion but has a 256GB internal storage variant. There’s also the 64GB and 128 models too.
Camera
One of the Redmi K20 specs that impressed is the camera department. It has a flagship arrangement with 48MP Sony ® IMX582 as the main shooter. The snapper merges 4 Pixel into 1 super pixel to achieve a brighter shot whilst allowing more light. Is then accompanied by an 8MP telephoto lens and 13MP ultrawide sensor.
Battery
Between all the Redmi’s device released in 2019, they all have a 4000mAh capacity and supports Quick Charge. The Redmi K20 supports 18W fast charging via USB-C and will take approximately 120 minutes to charge your device to 100%.
Security
For the first time, a Redmi device is debuting with NFC. Extra security is required to keep all financial details secret. The company did upgrade on its security with a 5Th generation in-display scanner. And though the tech is not as fast as a capacitive scanner, it has promised an accurate and fast response.

Price is one thing that everyone considers when going for any product. Redmi as a sub-brand has always kept their pricing affordable and that’s why they’ve already sold over 2.5million Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro in India alone. Meanwhile, the company has extended it’s honest pricing to the Redmi K20 with $289 for the base 6/64GB to $303 for 6/128GB model.
