Redmi K20 Pro specs
Display
The Redmi K20 Pro has the same 6.39-inch AMOLED screen size with the Xiaomi Mi 9. However, the former has a nearly bezel-less display with the selfie camera mounted on a motorized pop-up, giving it a massive 91% screen-to-body ratio. The display also supports HDR, but it lacks most flagship display features like DCI-P3, while Redmi failed to reveal the refresh rate of the display.
Performance
Redmi K20 Pro is the first flagship from the Redmi brand and also the first to feature the Flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC. It will deliver a peak performance, haven being equipped with 8 layers Graphene Cooling Tech to help disseminate heat. Coupled with up to 8GB RAM and Game Turbo 2.0, gamers can enjoy each gaming session with their device running at the same speed without lags. If you’re a pro, there’s a Gaming Pad that goes for just CNY 179 you can attach to your device for a more enhanced gaming experience
The device out-of-box will run the latest Android OS, Android Pie, based on MIUI 10.
Storage
The storage option for the flagship killer 2.0 is never different from the Xiaomi Mi 9. There’s an Avenger Limited Edition which comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM. Other memory variant includes the base 6/64GB, as well as the 6/128GB, 8/128, and 8/256 models.

Camera
The camera department quite impressed and considering the price tag for the device, Redmi has done a great job. Redmi K20 Pro went all three at back, with the main camera a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor. It’s accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, followed by an 8MP telephoto lens. The selfie camera has a 20.1MP sensor and is mounted on a motorized pop up.
Unfortunately, none of the camera sensors has OIS nor even the EIS that featured in Shark 2 gaming phone. Apart from that, there’s no much complain about the camera and you can even shoot 960fps slo-mo videos.
Security
While other things matters, security is also very important and Redmi didn’t compromise. They’ve equipped the K20 Pro with a 5th generation in-display fingerprint identification scanner. According to the company, the scanner is very fast and accurate with a 5um large pixel.
Battery
All the Redmi phones released recently all have a 4000mAh battery capacity. It didn’t look like Redmi K20 Pro will come with anything less but we were hoping of an improved power system. Onboard is a 27W Quick Charge, which according to Redmi will charge a dilapidated battery to 100% in 73 minutes.
Redmi K20 Pro Price
Redmi K20 Pro Price starts from $361 for the 6/64GB variant and will go as high as $434 for the more premium 8/256GB model. The Avengers Limited Edition with 12/256GB configuration is expected to cost around $500.
