Last night, Xiaomi released a stable MIUI 12 update for the Mi 10, which arrived with stable Android 11 after nearly two months of testing. The Redmi 8A, however, received the Android 10 update recently with a stable MIUI 11 build and is yet to receive the latest MIUI 12 Android skin.
And while many users of the device expect the update to start arriving probably this month, Xiaomi has just released a new update for the device. It will be for many, another underwhelming update as it sans the much-anticipated MIUI 12, but the update is needed to keep the system working and also to improve security.

Meanwhile, the Redmi 8 is also getting a new stable update. It’s for the Indian users and comes with a version number, MIUI 11.0.2.0 QCNINXM. The update brings the October security patch to improve system security while fixing some minor bugs.
