The Mi A3, going by the Android One policy, is the only phone out of the four Xiaomi Android One phones eligible for Android 11. The policy proposes at least two OS upgrades and three years of security patch support. Owing to that, Xiaomi pushed a new OS update to Mi A3 users a couple of weeks ago, but that was another nightmare as it left so many phones dead. However, the company has since fixed all the affected units through the Mi service center. They’ve also rolled out a fix-build, which has fixed some of the reported bugs, and according to a new report, Xiaomi Mi A3 is receiving a new update in Europe.
The latest Xiaomi Mi A3 update is hitting eligible units in Europe. It comes with a version number – V12.0.3.0 RFQEUXM – and weighs in at 313MB. As per the changelog, the update has optimized system performance, improved system security and stability. It also bumps the Android security level to January 2021 while fixing some minor bugs.
Meanwhile, given the experience with A-series updates, which is mostly buggy, many people are now skeptical about installing them. However, for the past few weeks now, Xiaomi has been rolling out clean updates as they try to fix all the bugs left by the previous builds. Hence, the latest Xiaomi Mi A3 update in Europe is safe, and you should download it when prompted. If you opt for manual installation, we have added a link below this post. You can access both the full Recovery ROM, which is about 1.4GB, or the Fastboot ROM if you want a clean flash.
