The Redmi 8A Dual is the latest Xiaomi phone to start receiving the stable MIUI 12 update ahead of the MIUI 12.5 global presentation. Xiaomi will tomorrow present its latest MIUI Android skin -tomorrow – and is on course to finalize the MIUI 12 rollout. Hence, the company has initiated the Redmi 8A Dual MIUI 12 update. 

The Redmi 8A Dual is an upgraded version of the Redmi 8A. It features two rear cameras but runs the same Snapdragon 439 Octa-Core SoC. The device debuted running Android 9 on top of MIUI 11 and has since picked the Android 10 update. It’s now getting the MIUI 12 update, but on limited rollout for now. As such, only a few selected users will receive the update pending when the preview is concluded.

Meanwhile, the Redmi 8A Dual MIUI 12 update is currently hitting those units sold in India. It has a version number – MIUI 12.0.1.0 QCQINXM – and weighs in at 487MB.
