Global Redmi Note 10 units are receiving a test build for the touch screen issues…
Xiaomi announced a couple of days ago that it has sold over INR 5,000,000,000 worth of Redmi Note 10 series smartphones. That figure is around $68 million, meaning a total of about 400,000 units have been sold in India already. However, we expect a more robust response if not the issues that have plagued the devices. Although some have been supposedly fixed, perhaps reduced with OTA, such as screen flickering and proximity sensor issues, the Redmi Note 10 touch screen issues have persisted.
There’s no doubt about the quality of the devices, considering the affordable price tags. But some of these bugs can be frustrating on a device that serves as a daily driver. I own the Redmi Note 10, which is a quality device, but the performance hasn’t been up to expectation. The device lags during gaming, battery drains, screen flickers, and of course, the touch screen issues. Luckily, these bugs can be fixed via OTA, and as expected, Xiaomi is doing just that. They’re currently rolling out a new update to verify if the Redmi Note 10 touch screen issues have been fixed.
The update is exclusive to Mi Pilots. It has a version number – MIUI 12.0.3.7 RKGINXM – and is available in India only. As usual, the preview will last for a couple of days, and if successful in the end, the public will start getting the update. However, it’ll probably arrive with a different build number. But if you wish to download the build, we have a link below this post, but you need an authorized Mi Beta account or TWRP Recovery to flash the ROM.
