[Update:02/06/2021] Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max starts pushing a stable MIUI 12.5 in India

With MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi promises to fix all the stability issues facing its Android skin. The company will look to address most of the bugs affecting its phones that multiplied after the adoption of Android 11. Luckily, the stable MIUI 12.5 is now rolling out globally with Redmi Note 10S and Mi 11 first of the bunch to receive the update. Now, Xiaomi has extended the rollout to the Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max in India, but as usual, it’s a limited rollout. 

The stable MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max in India is available for Mi Pilots. Those whose application was successful in the recently concluded recruitment. If you were selected, you’ll receive the latest update via OTA in the coming days. However, you can use the link below and download the ROM for manual installation. 

As expected, the update brings most features of the current MIUI Android skin, which is essentially an improvement over the predecessor. Unfortunately, it misses out on the improved haptic feedback system – a feature that seems to be exclusive to flagship Xiaomi phones. Nevertheless, MIUI is now faster, smoother, and more durable, and with 20 times more rendering power. Also, response to gestures is instant while new camera modes have been added. 

Looking at the changes and comparing them with that of the Chinese branch of MIUI, some features are missing for the Redmi Note 10 Pro / Max. But given that most of the features arrived with MIUI 12, we’ll focus more on bug fixes. However, at the time of this report, we can’t confirm the bugs that are fixed. For now, we can only assure you that the 732MB update, with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKFINXM – is safe. Again, it’s a limited rollout, but you can try to download the ROM via the link below.
